TYPE OF COSTS OR FEES

Hinai Web is offered as a license-based solution and also as a cloud-based solution.

License-based solution: The cost incurred for implementing the solution includes a one-time software license fee, a one-time implementation fee and an annual maintenance fee for support and product upgrades.
The base license fee is calculated on the healthcare provider’s volumes (e.g., number of ambulatory visits). Depending upon the use of software, e.g., increase in patient volume or addition of a new facility, etc., the healthcare provider may need to expand its license. The annual maintenance fee is charged as a percentage of the license fee.

Cloud-based solution:  The cost incurred for implementing a cloud-based solution includes a one-time license fee and a one-time setup fee per provider along with a monthly subscription fee. The monthly subscription fee includes monthly support & maintenance.
The software can be hosted at the healthcare provider’s data center or at a third-party hosting facility. Hosting can be the responsibility of the healthcare provider or of ICT Health, Inc. for an additional monthly fee.

Additional Fees:
Additional services: Typical implementation/setup costs cover services during installation, training and the initial go-live phase. There may be other additional service costs depending on individual healthcare provider’s scope of work and needs (viz. additional implementation services, additional training services, etc.).
Integration/Ongoing costs related to third-party partners: Though interfaces are built to industry standards, these costs will vary depending on the third-party selected and the scope of work. ICT Health, Inc. will provide an implementation estimate. These costs include:
▫ One-time integration fee and/or service fee to third-party for drug interaction and formulary checks – 170.314(a)(2) and 170.314(a)(10)
▫ One-time integration fee and/or service fee to third-party for providing patient education resources – 170.314(a)(15).
▫ One-time integration fee to establish interfaces with select diagnostic facilities (lab and/or radiology) – 170.314(a)(12) and 170.314(b)(5).
▫ Ongoing service fee associated with electronic prescribing – 170.314(b)(3).
▫ One-time and/or recurring fees to establish interfaces for reporting to immunization registries and public health agencies – 170.314(f)(2) and 170.314(f)(3).
▫ Transactional costs may apply per SMS sent – 170.314(a)(14).
▫ Connecting to providers on other HISPs may require ongoing service fees – 170.314(b)(1) and 170.314(b)(2).

LIMITATIONS (CONTRACTUAL)

▫ Annual contractual obligations are required to take advantage of product updates in a license-based solution.
▫A healthcare provider can act as its own HISP or work with a HISP of its choice. The provider negotiates directly with the HISP on any required licenses or agreements.

LIMITATIONS (TECHNICAL/PRACTICAL)

▫ Exchange of data often includes mapping data to standard terminologies (eg. SNOMED, LOINC, CVX, ICD, etc) which may have their own licenses.
▫ There is no limitation w.r.t. volume of licenses, transactions, usage or associated bandwidth.
